Hi Peter,

I'm currently in the process of applying for an IMS position. I have a few questions:

1) Scenario: I've just finished the packout of stuff from my home and now my family and I are heading to D.C. to begin A100 training. Let's say training starts on Monday, but the movers got us packed out the previous Wednesday. Since we live in Arkansas, the trip would probably take us about 2-3 days driving. During that time, well be staying at hotels and eating out up until we're officially in government provided housing. Will a significant portion of those expenses be reimbursed to us on a per-diem basis?

2) Scenario: We've finished orientation and are heading to an overseas post, Paris for example. Would the government provide us with both free housing and utilities, or just free housing? if the utilities are also includeded, does that include TV, Internet, and trash pickup as well, or just the more basics like electricity and water?

3)Is my understanding correct that once we're in A100 training, we're provided a sliding per-diem allowance for items such as food?

4)Finally, do you know what the provided retirement plan is like assuming you put in 20 years? As in, what percentage of salary do you still bring in upon retiring?

As always, thank you for your replies full of knowledge and insight.
