I have seen Foreign Service members marry local nationals and continue to serve at post. The issue will depend on many factors, and is not as simple as a single rule.

I am a foreign born spouse, (green card, for almost 25 years). 
Are their rules against my husband being posted to the country where I was born?

My husband thinks there may be rules against it because of conflict of interest issues.
